Paramount Skydance Set to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 US Jobs – Update

Skydance Paramount plans to start large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating approximately 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy totaling $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction come after the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, with Paramount Skydance intending to announce all specifics during its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Prior news stated the firm planned to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.

Until December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 project-based staff.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
