Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and following the appointment of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the decision was reached following an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving women.
The firm has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, adding: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his books, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
He first rose to fame on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE several years ago honoring his contributions to philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This development follows the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
